9-Grid Image Generator

Four Easy Steps to Master the 9-Grid

This tutorial will guide you through using our tool, from uploading an image to downloading the final result. In just a few minutes, you can create stunning 9-grid images for your social media feed.

Upload Your Image

On the tool's homepage, you'll see a prominent image upload area. You have two ways to upload an image:

  • Click to Upload: Simply click inside the area to open a file selection window, then choose the image you want to use.
  • Drag and Drop: Drag an image file directly from a folder on your computer into the upload area.

We support major image formats like JPG, PNG, and GIF. Once uploaded, you'll see your image in the preview area on the right.

Customize Your Effect

For the best results, you can adjust a few simple settings:

  • Cropping Method:
    • Square: This is the most common mode. It will crop or pad your image into a perfect square to fit the 9-grid layout.
    • Keep Aspect Ratio: If your image isn't square, this option will maintain its original proportions and fill the empty space with a background color of your choice.
  • Background Color: When your image needs a background fill, you can select a suitable color. We offer common colors like black and white, as well as our theme color.

One-Click Generate & Preview

Once you've finished with the settings, click the blue "Generate 9-Grid" button. Our system will process your image instantly. After processing, you will see the result in two places:

  • Preview Effect: In the left preview box, a complete image preview with grid lines will appear, giving you a clear view of the overall effect after splitting.
  • 9-Grid Result: In the right result area, the 9 individual smaller images will be displayed.

Save and Share

The final step is to download your creation. We offer two download options:

  • Download All: Click the "Download All" button, and the system will package the 9 small images into a single ZIP file for you to save at once.
  • Download Individually: Hover your mouse over any of the small images in the result area, and a download icon will appear. Click it to save that specific image.

After downloading, post the images to your social media feed in order (from 1 to 9) to form a complete large picture!

Useful Tips

  • Choose High-Resolution Images: To ensure the smaller images remain clear after splitting, it's best to upload a high-resolution original image.
  • Composition is Key: Try to choose images where the main subject is in the center to avoid important parts being cut by the grid lines.
  • Get Creative: A 9-grid isn't just for one picture. You can also create 9 different but related images and upload them in order for an unexpected, creative effect!
  • Check the Posting Order: When posting, make sure you select the images from left to right, top to bottom.
